Paris: Day One

Bonjour Paris!

Every time I see these pictures I am taken right back to the perfection that is Paris. The architecture, the people, the language, and of course the frenchies—Paris truly won my heart, in a week. It was both mine and Adam's first time there, and while we were excited, I don't think either of us expected to enjoy it as much as we did.

After a long (and sleepless) red-eye flight we met up with my mom, who made the journey to Paris following a work trip to Dubai. We continued on to the Renaissance Paris Le Parc Trocadéro. Plucked straight from the pages of a Parisian fairytale, Le Parc Trocadéro is located between the Champs-Elysees and Eiffel Tower, in the 8th arrondissement. For us, it was the perfect location: safe, easy access to Charles de Gaulle, and the metro (Victor-Hugo, Trocadero).

After a quick nap we decided to venture out. First up: a neighborhood tour, in which we got our first glimpse of the Eiffel Tower, peeking out above the trees. We were definitely dressed warmly, as it was late November, but the weather was beautiful. We stopped at Café du Trocadéro for a quick dinner before ending the evening (a little early, still on DC and Dubai time) watching the Eiffel Tower light up. next up // day two
